Many of my oil paintings depict Southwestern subject matter. I paint mostly on canvas and occasionally on mdf panel. I also specialize in pet portraits painted from photographic reference. I have to admit, when creating digitally, that I do miss the ability to move paint around on the canvas using actual painting tools. But then I don’t have to wait for paint to dry. I do occasionally paint varied subject matter unrelated to the southwest including still life’s. Did I mention the number of talented painters we have in Tubac? Also, the Tubac School of Fine Art, next door to my studio, provides excellent art classes and workshops during the “winter” season, from October through May.
